SID-ALEX is the work of two childhood friends from Stockholm, both born in 1985. They met as kids in the same neighborhood and have been inseparable since their early teens — bonded first by late nights of Quake on dial-up LANs, and soon after by a shared obsession with the sound coming out of their first cracked copies of music software.

What started as bedroom experiments in the late 90s — trackers, broken samplers, MIDI cables snaking between two beige PCs — slowly turned into something more serious. They taught themselves to produce by trial, error, and stubbornness, learning every shortcut, every plugin, and every trick the hard way. Three decades later, that same rhythm of two friends in a room making music together has never really stopped.

The catalog spans polished Masters built for repeat listening and rougher Experimental drops where they let the machines misbehave. Both sides come from the same place: two Stockholm kids who never quite grew out of staying up too late, chasing the next sound.

Still based in Stockholm. Still best friends. Still playing the occasional round of Quake when a session runs cold.
